Lake Garda in Nothern Italy: Three years ago my friends and I stayed a week at Lake #Garda in Nothern #Italy. The area is beautiful there. Unfortunatly one of my friends developed an eye problem. Because the local GPs English was not so good the holiday parc advised us to go straight to the local hospital. That ended up in two days of tests and consultations. We found out it was diabetis related and appearently my friend's medication had not been working so a strict diet for the rest of the trip. A full report was typed for his doctor at home and for all of that he was charged 95 euro. Now this area is heavily burdened by #Covid19 and a few weeks ago hospitals were overflowing and many people were dying. These doctors and nurses I met 3 years ago were often in my toughts and prayers. When it is safe to travel again - maybe next year - I hope to go and show my support to the region to return there as a tourist.
