In The Netherlands there are the more famous beaches of Scheveningen and Zandvoort. And even nearby Noordwijk is more crowded with restaurants and beachhuts. Katwijk is maybe due to its very religious population a more 'natural' beach to visit. Great for walks and a fishdinner when the weather is still a bit nippy
